Sonny Umpad’s Memorial Photos
This page still under
construction
These
are photos taken at the memorial service for Eskrima Maestro Sonny Umpad on
September 1, 2006, who passed away on August 24, 2006. May he rest in peace!
All
of the images were shot live at the memorial, so many pictures below are photos
of photos, presenting an historic archive of the life and times of maestro
Sonny. While this isn’t always the
optimal way to get an image online (scanning photos is better) this is a record
of that event.
Some
images are very large and may take longer to load. This is particularly true of the photo boards, so that as much of
the image as possible is preserved, allowing viewers to get details from the
individual pictures on the board. The
fliers were also left large so that the print is more readable.
Fliers:
Basel,
Switerland – 1st time in Europe (1997)
